Changes to Our Volunteer Experience

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our onsite Distribution Center volunteer operations. If you are interested in receiving an email when we re-open the Distribution Center (our on-site Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals, Groups, or Izzy’s Kids Corner), please complete and submit this interest form.

As the need arises, we will be adding any offsite Volunteer events here, so please check the link often for future events.

Virtual Food Drive Volunteers

Food and funding for food remain the most critical needs here at Second Harvest. The pandemic has substantially increased the need for emergency food for the foreseeable future. You can help us raise awareness about hunger here in Orange County by becoming a Virtual Food Drive Volunteer. Please visit the Virtual Food Drive page to learn more!

Volunteer Service Hours

We have suspended our Virtual Volunteer and Volunteer Service Hour opportunities for the foreseeable future. When we have new opportunities, we will post them here.

If you started a Virtual Food Drive for volunteer hour credit on or before 12/6, we will honor those food drives with credit up to 5 hours total.

And if you can’t volunteer, please give what you can. Remember, $1 helps to provide 3 meals. You can donate here.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue working to end hunger in Orange County!
