The Food Bank holds several special events and food drives throughout the year which serve as critical sources of funding and food for many of our programs. If you're interested in giving back to your community, sponsoring an event or holding a food drive is a great way to get involved with Second Harvest!

Give A Meal with Bank of America

When: September 8- December 31
Where: Visit

This holiday season, you can take action in the fight to end hunger in Orange County, and make three times the difference. Bank of America is partnering with Feeding America's network of food banks, and when for every $1 donated through the Give A Meal campaign, Bank of America will donate $2. To donate, visit and be sure to enter your Orange County zip code and designate your donation to Second Harvest Food Bank.  



Spooktacular Saturdays- "Scaring Hunger Out of OC"

When: October 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th
Where: OC Great Park, register at

The OC Great Park's Spooktacular Saturdays are fun for the whole family. Every Saturday in October, families can come dressed in their best Halloween costumes and enjoy traditional fall festivities at the Great Park. Help support hunger relief by bringing along nonperishable food donations. All donations benefit Orange County Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank.


Harvesters Fashion Show & Luncheon

When: October 8, 2014
Where: Segerstrom Center for the Arts

Since 1992, the Harvesters have been dedicated to serving Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The Harvesters Fashion Show & Luncheon is brought to you entirely by many dedicated volunteers, allowing 100% of every underwriting dollar to be sent directly to Second Harvest.




Scouting for Food  

When: November 8, 2014

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will collect non-perishable food from homes around the community and deliver it to Second Harvest.



"No Lunch" Lunch

When: November 25, 2014
Where: Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County

Please join us for our annual luncheon where we will celebrate the many ways in which our community helps those in need: the businesses and individuals who so generously support our work. As we begin our 31st year of working to end hunger in Orange County, we turn our focus to our community- the many communities of caring, support and hope for a better future.

Izzy and the Candy Palace

This charming children’s book was written by a local nine-year old girl to help feed hungry children in our community. 100% of the profits from every book sold go to support our Kids Cafe program! Visit to preview the book and place your order.



Fight Hunger with Duke’s Huntington Beach

Choose two courses from the Duo Menu for $21 and Duke’s will donate $1 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Duo menu available Monday-Friday, 5:00pm-6:30pm.

FoodTweeks is a mobile app that helps people eat better in a sustainable way, while fighting hunger in America. Download the app onto your mobile device, and every time you "tweek" calories from your meal to make it more nutritious, FoodTweeks will make a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County so we can distribute the same amount of nutritious calories to families in need. There is no cost of any kind to the FoodTweeks user, and its a great way to fight hunger in OC!


Ralph's Community Contribution Program

Sign up your Ralph's rewards card online and select Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County as your beneficiary. Participants just need to re-register their card to continue benefitting from the program. Every time you shop at Ralph's and use your rewards card, a portion of your savings will be donated to Second Harvest to help feed the community!
