The Food Bank holds several special events and food drives throughout the year which serve as critical sources of funding and food for many of our programs. If you're interested in giving back to your community, sponsoring an event or holding a food drive is a great way to get involved with Second Harvest!

Give A Meal with Bank of America

When: September 8- December 31
Where: Visit www.bankofamerica.com/give

This holiday season, you can take action in the fight to end hunger in Orange County, and make three times the difference. Bank of America is partnering with Feeding America's network of food banks, and when for every $1 donated through the Give A Meal campaign, Bank of America will donate $2. To donate, visit BankofAmerica.com/Give and be sure to enter your Orange County zip code and designate your donation to Second Harvest Food Bank.

Angels Groundskeeper Thanksgiving Food Drive

When: November 21-23, 2014 8am-4pm
Where: Angel Stadium of Anaheim

Angels Groundskeepers will host their 13th Annual Thanksgiving Holiday Food Drive to help in the fight against hunger. Enjoy a weekend with the Angels with opportunities to tour the Clubhouse, or shag fly balls in the outfield for a donation that will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. You can also donate three cans of non-perishable food items or $2 for one swing against a pitching machine. A donation of 2 canned food items or $1 per pitch will allow fans to test their pitching skills in the bullpen. For more information about this event, click here.

Harvesting Hope for People & Pets

When: November 21-23, 2014
Where: Stater Bros., 1175-C Baker Street, Costa Mesa 92626

K-Earth 101 and Second Harvest Food Bank are teaming up with Stater Bros. to host the annual "Harvesting Hope for People & Pets". Please stop by the Stater Bros. in Costa Mesa and donate non-perishable canned food and meet K-Earth 101 on-air personalities that will be broadcasting LIVE all weekend!

KTLA's Harvesting Hope in Our Community Food Drive

When: November 25, 2014 6am-11pm
Where: Stater Bros. in Placentia

KTLA and Second Harvest Food Bank are working with Stater Bros. to host the annual "Harvesting Hope in Our Community Food Drive" on Tuesday, November 25th. Stop by the Stater Bros. location in Placentia and purchase a "Bag of Hope" filled with non-perishable food donations to help make sure no one in our community has an empty plate for the holidays. People will have an opportunity to meet KTLA news reporters Henry DiCarlo and Sara Welch.

 

"No Lunch" Lunch

When: November 25, 2014
Where: Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County

Please join us for our annual luncheon where we will celebrate the many ways in which our community helps those in need: the businesses and individuals who so generously support our work. As we begin our 31st year of working to end hunger in Orange County, we turn our focus to our community- the many communities of caring, support and hope for a better future.

Fight Hunger with Duke’s Huntington Beach

Choose two courses from the Duo Menu for $21 and Duke’s will donate $1 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Duo menu available Monday-Friday, 5:00pm-6:30pm.

FoodTweeks

FoodTweeks is a mobile app that helps people eat better in a sustainable way, while fighting hunger in America. Download the app onto your mobile device, and every time you "tweek" calories from your meal to make it more nutritious, FoodTweeks will make a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County so we can distribute the same amount of nutritious calories to families in need. There is no cost of any kind to the FoodTweeks user, and its a great way to fight hunger in OC!

 

Ralph's Community Contribution Program

Sign up your Ralph's rewards card online and select Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County as your beneficiary. Participants just need to re-register their card to continue benefitting from the program. Every time you shop at Ralph's and use your rewards card, a portion of your savings will be donated to Second Harvest to help feed the community!
