Focus on Nutrition

Nutrition is a key ingredient in every program we offer. We work with the California Association of Food Banks, Network for a Healthy California, and Orange County Health Care Agency to ensure that all our programs, from our Child Hunger Programs, to our Senior Brown Bag, are educated about the importance of proper nutrition in their diet.

Healthy Choices

When you're struggling to pay the rent and feed your family, sometimes you just can't afford healthy food. Click here to find out how you can help us provide healthy choices to everyone!

Harvest of the Month

Everyone can benefit from Harvest of the Month! It is a great way to learn about fruits and vegetables you may not know about, or simply may not know how good they are for you. Check back every month to get the latest Harvest of the Month and share it with a friend. Click here for more information on how nutrition impacts the body and the mind.

We strive to find delicious & nutritious recipes for our agencies and the people they serve. Often we provide recipe cards to our programs, and they are available to all our organizations. Check the Recipe section for our latest and greatest finds!

Nutrition Volunteers

Our Kids Cafe program provides a great opportunity to help kids learn about nutrition and have fun in the process. We have 35 sites throughout Orange County and many still need a nutrition volunteer to call their own. You don't need any special training, just a desire to help kids learn how to eat better through fun activities.

The volunteer position requires a minimum commitment of 3 hours per month. A background check is performed, and a valid Drivers License is required.
