Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is a 501[c] 3 nonprofit organization, a program under the umbrella of the Council of Orange County, Society of St. Vincent de Paul. As a vital link between the food industry and agencies that feed those at-risk of hunger, Second Harvest Food Bank has distributed more than 260 million pounds of food to those at-risk of hunger in Orange County. Through a network of 450 member charities Second Harvest alleviates food insecurity for over 220,000 individuals in Orange County each month.

Last year, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County received the services of 8,882 volunteers providing 101,180 hours of service. Volunteers make up 55% of the workforce and are crucial to the success of the Food Bank helping Second Harvest Food Bank maintain an efficiency rate of 94.6 cents on the dollar.

Every $1 donated provides 3 meals to those at-risk of hunger in Orange County.
